Western Atlantic Surf Series Rules
The Western Atlantic Pro Surf Series is a contest series that takes place annually utilizing established events on the East Coast of the US and the Islands of the Western Atlantic. Competitors that participate will accumulate points based on their results. At the end of the series your 2 lowest scoring contests, or if you missed contests, will be dropped and all the others added up. In other words if there are 6 events you will take your top 4 results, if there are 8 events you will use your top 6 results. The three surfers with the most points at the end of the contest series will receive a share of the $10,000 purse, and the competitor with the most points will be crowned the 2010 Western Atlantic Pro Surf Series Champion. As a part of the $10,000 prize, an additional $500 bonus check will be awarded to the winner of each event.
In the case of a tie at the end of the season, your next lowest result will be dropped to break the tie.
