Semi #2 started out with Jeremy Johnston posting a 4.33 and Jairo Perez with a 3.33. Then Kyle Garson gets the wave of the heat putting him in the lead getting a 7.5. After several more exchanges it was still Garson and Johnston holding down 1st and 2nd. Jairo Perez then began his campaign slowly narrowing the gap between 2nd and 3rd. Jeremy then went to work positioning himself deeper in the pocket on the next 2 sets keeping Jairo from getting the score he needed. With 1 minute left Jeremy got the back up wave he needed, not only securing his advancement, but winning the heat. Very impressive considering he had to surf 7 heats to earn his position in the final. So moving on to the final and joining Nils Swheizer and Andrew Doheny will be Jeremy Johnston and Kyle Garson.
